Are you Infected ?
1. Go to Start Menu > Search > Files and Folders > Type in "msblast.exe" If the file "msblast.exe" exists in your Windows and/or System32 folder then your machine is likely infected. 2. If your machine tends to restart after saying the "RPC Service" has failed, and is shutting down in 40 seconds, then your machine is INFECTED. All of the download sites for the correct removal tools and patches are extraordinarily busy. PC Solver has a CD available for purchase at our office or for delivery. This CD contains the correct removal tool and system patch for this virus. In the meantime, if your machine is infected, you should refrain from connecting to the Internet so that the worm does not continue to infect other computers, until you have applied the removal tools and patch. |

What is Spyware?
Spyware is any software that gathers personal information without your knowledge. This information is often used for advertising purposes. Spyware may cause your computer to slow down or encounter errors. Spyware has also been known to cause unwanted pop-up advertisements, an inability to connect to the Internet, or problems printing. Spyware applications are typically bundled as a hidden component of freeware or shareware programs that can be downloaded from the Internet. Once installed, spyware monitors your activity on the Internet and transmits that information in the |

background to someone else. Spyware can also gather information about e-mail addresses, passwords, and even credit card numbers.
A common way to get spyware is through installation of file-swapping programs that are used to download music and movies from the Internet. Third-party spyware removal software can sometimes be found available for download from the Internet. |
